Naval Cigarette Cards

Complete Sets of Naval Cigarette Cards

Admiral Lord Nelson symbolises British Naval success and in 1906 Fry issued a fine series of cigarette cards depicting his life and times. The images and text together create an in depth history of the key battles including The Battle of Trafalgar.

Notable Naval Uniforms from the same period and many others form an exciting collection of nautical dress cards showing how they changed over the centuries in a fascinating set issued by Sinclair in 1928. British Battleships and their Crests are included in the Naval themed cigarette cards issued by Hills in 1901; these include the history of such vessels as Lord Nelson's HMS Victory and less known ones from the late nineteenth century such as HMS Cygnet.
