In the early 1900s the total strength of the Indian Army was 240,000 men. They served in 39 cavalry regiments, 135 infantry battalions (including 17 Gurkha) and a joint cavalry-infantry unit - the Corps of Guides.

'Indian Regiments' is a complete set of 50 Cigarette Cards first issued in 1912 by B.A.T. A fine set that depicts the Regiments of the Indian Army during the time of the British Empire. Many of whom were to serve in the European Theatre of War during the 1914 - 18 Conflict.
